FAQ on ETF

Other Frequently Asked Questions About ETFs

1. How long should I hold an ETF before selling it?
Investing in an ETF is like investing in a stock. You can trade actively throughout the trading day, or you can hold them for long-term investment.

2. How is the market price of an ETF determined?
The market price of an ETF is in general very close to the market value of the underlying securities held in the portfolio, plus any net income not yet distributed.

3. Steps to Take Before Investing in an ETF
As with any investment, you should thoroughly understand what you are buying before entering into an ETF transaction. Be sure you have considered:
* The ETF’s investment objective and strategy, including (for an index tracking fund) the
components of the targeted index.
* The fees and charges associated with investing in the ETF.
* Information about the ETF’s fund manager.
* The ETF’s dividend policy (if it pays dividends)
* How the ETF distributes trading information.
