and secure way to make local and international payments.
You simply forward your payment details to us (online
or by diskette) and we do the rest.
We handle cheque and wire transactions, both domestic
and foreign, and can help
with the reconciliation of your Account Payables regardless
of the payment type.
You can use ProPay for your vendor payments, fees, dividends,
premiums, claims, dealer incentives, taxes, duties and
more.

Reduced
workload and costs
ProPay totally eliminates the need for you to prepare
and handle cheque and wire payments. Not only does
this reduce administrative work and cost and enable
you to redeploy human resources to core business
activities, it also means you do not have to worry
about how to cope with peak periods.
Easier
reconciliations
Since payments are made from an AmBank account,
month-end reconciliation is much quicker and easier.
Once you have forwarded the payment file, we automatically
process and execute all
payments. Simplified bulk processing further reduces
paperwork and improves operational
efficiency.
Enhanced
security
The system protects against fraud in a variety of
ways. We use advanced technology to
automatically monitor your transactions, and to
limit approvals and authorizations to a few key
people. In addition, there is no need for you to
keep track of a large number of cheques, and there
will be no cheques floating about in your organization
waiting for authorization and mailing. This means
much less worry about fraud.
GIRO
transactions
As a local bank, we are part of the MEPS system,
and can handle payments by GIRO, as well as Rentas
and SWIFT. This makes us a full service payment
bank, able to meet all your payment needs.
Single file
Unlike with most systems, with ProPay, you can send
all your payments (vendor payments, fees etc) whether
cheque or wire, domestic or foreign, in a single
electronic file. Consequently, there is no need
to pre-sort your payments, which saves you both
time and labour.
Nationwide
branch network
Our nationwide branch network enables local clearing
throughout Malaysia, so that payees will not have
to pay Inland Exchange Commission (IEC). This will
enhance your relationship with your payees.
Flexibility
We can mail or courier cheques to you or your payees,
to suit your convenience, and in accordance with
the urgency of the payment.
Efficient
enquiry management
To enable you to answer queries from your payees,
we provide you with online or hard copy reports
of all your cheque and wire payments, giving all
the relevant details (e.g. Issued Payments reports,
Unpresented Cheque reports, Stale Cheque reports
and many more). This will result in improved customer
service.
Online
banking
You can access your account details, execute or
query transactions, and stop or reissue cheques
online, any time, any place. You are therefore never
out of touch, and can keep an eye on your accounts
wherever you are. |

How ProPay Works
All you need to do is either download payments information
from your Account Payables system,
or input payment details using our simple proprietary
software. After reviewing the information, you forward
the payment details to AmBank, either online or
by diskette.
ProPay authenticates your file and then validates
your instructions for data integrity. Next,
AmBank issues the cheques and payment advices
and delivers them either to you or directly to
your payees.
Finally, AmBank sends you an online report detailing
payments issued and other
relevant information. |
