| The Houseowners and Householders Policy is designed
to provide cover for the Buildings of Private Dwellings
and Flats. The Houseowners and Householders Policy is
readily acceptable for buildings of Class 1 and 2 Construction
only. The values insured should be properly reviewed in
relation to the items insured. |

Scope of Coverage
The coverage provided is divided into the following
sections: - Perils
Loss or damage to the property insured caused by
an of the undermentioned peril: -
|
Fire, lightning thunderbolt
and subterranean fire |
|
Explosion |
|
Aircraft or other aerial devices and/or
articles dropped therefrom |
|
Impact damage caused by any road vehicle
or animals not belonging to or under the control
of the insured or any member of his family |
|
Impact damage caused by any road vehicle
or animals not belonging to or under the control
of the insured or any member of his family |
|
Bursting or overflowing of domestic water
tanks, apparatus of pipes (excluding the building
is left unattended and excluding the first
RM50 of each loss) |

Theft but only if accompanied by actual
forcible and violent breaking into and out
of the building or any attempt thereat |
|
Hurricane, cyclone, typhoon, windstorm (excluding
the first 1% of the total sum insured or RM200
whichever is the less) |
|
Earthquake, volcanic eruption (excluding
the first 1% of the total sum insured or RM200
whichever is the less) |
|
Flood but excluding loss or damage caused
by subsidence or landslip (excluding the first
1% of the total sum insured or RM200 whichever
is the less) |

Exclusion
|
Any loss, damage or other contingency
occasioned by or through or in consequence,
directly or indirectly, of any of the following
occurrence namely: - |

| • |
War, invasion, act of
foreign enemy, hostilities or warlike
operation (whether war be declared or
not), civil war. |
| • |
Mutiny, riot, military or popular
rising, insurrection, rebellion, revolution,
military or usurped power, martial law
or state of siege or any of the events
or caused which determine the proclamation
or maintenance of martial law or stage
of siege. |

Any act of terrorism |

|
|
i) (a) Loss or damage occasioned by cessation
of work; or by classification, commandeering,
requisition or destruction of or damage to
the property by of the Government de jure
or de facto or any Public Municipal or Local
Authority of the country or area in which
the property is situated; or occasioned to
property by its own fermentation, natural
heating or spontaneous combustion or by its
undergoing any heating or drying process. |

(b) Loss, damage or other contingency directly
or indirectly caused by or arising from or
in consequence of or contributed to by nuclear
weapons material. |

|
|
ii) Loss, damage or other contingency directly
or indirectly caused by or arising from or
in consequence of or contributed to by ionizing
radiations or contamination by radioactivity
from any nuclear fuel or from any nuclear
fuel. Solely for the purposes of this Exception
2(ii), combustion shall include any self sustaining
process of nuclear fission. |

Consequential loss or damage of kind whatsoever
except as provided for in Section IIIA hereof |

Loss or damage by hurricane,
cyclone, typhoon or windstorm. |

Loss or damage caused by subsidence
or landslip except when this is occasioned
by earthquake or volcanic eruption. |
